Valencia have completed the signing of defender Aymen Abdennour from AS Monaco on a five-year deal.
The Tunisian international impressed during his time with the Principality outfit, and had been recently associated with a move to Stamford Bridge.
However, it is Valencia who have won the chase to sign up the talented centre-back.
"I chose Valencia CF out of all the offers I received, because it is a big club in Spain and Europe. I had no doubts," he told the club's official website.
"I will give my all to have a good season with my new teammates. Everyone knows Valencia CF because they have won a lot of trophies. I am delighted to be joining the best league in the world and hope to play well for the team."
