Southampton have reportedly offered a fee of around £11.5m to sign Celtic defender Virgin van Dijk.
The Netherlands international has recently revealed that he could consider a move away from the Hoops after they failed to qualify for the Champions League group stages.
According to The Mirror, the Scottish champions are ready to cash in on the player's services after they signed Manchester United's Tyler Blackett on a temporary basis.
It is added that Van Dijk will become the Saints' eighth signing of the summer in an £11.5m deal.
Van Dijk has previously been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United.
