Czech Republic forward Jan Koller has returned to the Bundesliga today as he joined league strugglers FC Nurnberg from Monaco on an undisclosed fee; the 34-year-old has officially joined after passing a medical.

  • No details were given on the transfer fee. Monaco reportedly wanted 2 million euros (3 million dollars) for the 34-year-old Koller.



    Koller played at Borussia Dortmund 2001-2006 before moving on to Monaco, winning the 2002 Bundesliga title. Nuremberg won the German cup in 2007 but are struggling in the league, ranked 16th in the drop zone in the winter break.
