Southampton have secured the signature of defender Virgin van Dijk from Scottish champions Celtic.
The Netherlands international had been linked with a move to the Premier League after the Hoops failed to qualify for the Champions League group stages.
Sky Sports News now confirms that the central defender will link up with the Saints on a five-year contract.
"I'm delighted. It was a very easy decision to join this club. This is a very ambitious club, who have been doing very well in the last couple of years. It's a great place to be and it's the right step for me." he told the club's official website.
