German champions Bayern Munich are reportedly keen on signing Birmingham City youngster Demarai Gray.

The 19-year-old attracted interest from the likes of Bournemouth and Leicester City over the summer.

However, he opted to sign a new three-year contract at St.Andrews in order to earn regular first-team football.

According to The Mirror, the Bavarian giants will look to trigger the player's release which currently stands at around £4.7m.

It is added that Blues boss Gary Rowett could objet Gray's sale in the near future as any money gained from the transfer would go straight into paying some of the club's debts.

Gray scored six goals in 41 league appearances last term.
