Arsenal star Santi Cazorla has insisted that he never had thoughts of leaving the club during the summer transfer window.
The Spain international has been linked with a move back to La Liga in each of his last two seasons with the Gunners.
However, the 30-year-old has iterated that he never had plans of seeking a transfer back to his home country.
“I never said I wanted to return to Spain," he told reporters "Those things just came from the press. I don’t understand why they publish that story because I have always been happy at the club.
Cazorla recently inked a new deal to show his commitment to the North London giants.
