Everton Star admits Norwich City interest

17 September 2015 - 14:52

Everton's hat-trick hero Steven Naismith has revealed that he had considered a move to Norwich City during the recently concluded transfer window.

  • The Scotland international had struggled for sufficient game-time at the back end of last season, and this has led to the speculation that he could part ways with the Merseyside outfit.

Premier League newcomers Norwich City are thought to have made a bid of around £5m for the talented forward, but it was swiftly rejected by manager Roberto Martinez.

Naismith has now insisted that he was tempted by a switch to the Canaries in the summer transfer window.

The 29-year-old scored a famous hat-trick as his side thrashed Chelsea by a 3-1 scoreline at Goodison Park last weekend.
