Bournemouth have completed the signing of former Inter Milan youngster Alessandro Cannataro on a one-year contract.
The 20-year-old was a free-agent following his release from the Nerazzurri earlier in the summer.
Cannataro was linked with the likes of Leicester City and Crystal Palace in recent weeks, but it is the Cherries who have landed the player's signature following an impressive trial.
"Alessandro is very composed and reads the game well. He is a good footballer with an excellent pedigree and wouldn't have been at Inter Milan for that amount of time and captained their Under-19s if he wasn't," Cherries' Under-21 manager Stephen Purches told the Daily Echo.
The youngster is expected to spend the current campaign with the development side at Dean Court.
