Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson has reportedly rebuffed a loan switch to Preston North End.
The 31-year-old has yet to make a Premier League appearance for the club, and this had led to the speculation that he may seek an exit in the near future.
Chronicle Live now claims that the Championship outfit were keen on a temporary deal for Williamson.
However, the experienced defender turned down the move as he is eager to fight for his place at St.James Park.
Williamson is in the final year of his contract at Newcastle United.
