David Albelda has been linked with a move to Atletico Madrid. The Spanish international midfielder was deemed surplus to requirements by Ronald Koeman, but Atletico are ready to offer Valencia are £1 million getaway deal for Albelda.
Due to the Spanish transfer rules that state that a player who has played five or more games for another La Liga side cannot transfer to another team in the same division in that season Atletico may struggle to land Albelda this year.
