Queens Park Rangers star Charlie Austin will reportedly rebuff a winter move to Newcastle United as his main focus remains on getting his side back to the Premier League.
The 26-year-old was one of the stand out performers for the R's last term, in spite of their relegation to the second tier of English football.
Widespread reports now claim that Magpies boss Steve McClaren has earmarked the talented striker as his main target for the New Year.
It is added that the Magpies are likely to fail in their attempts with Austin firmly committed to the job in hand at Loftus Road.
Austin has scored seven goals in nine games for his club this season.
