Klinsmann gets Bayern job

From the 1st of July, Jurgen Klinsmann will be the new Bayern Munich boss. The former Germany boss has agreed to take over from Ottmar Hitzfeld despite speculation linking him with a move to Liverpool.

  • The Bundesliga leaders announced the news this morning, and were delighted that the 43-year-old would "take on the challenge of leading Bayern to domestic and European success".



    Hitzfeld announced at the start of the year that he would be leaving the Fußball Arena München when his contract expires at the end of the season. "I will try again over the next half year to be successful and win as many titles as possible," said the Champions League winning coach.
