Spanish giants Barcelona have joined the long list of clubs interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain forward Ezequeil Lavezzi.
The Argentina international is likely to be offloaded in the New Year with his current deal due to expire at the end of the season.
Catalan daily Sport now reports that the European champions will seek to sign a new striker in January to provide sufficient back-up to the likes of Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez.
The report adds that Barca are interested in the former Napoli man as he would be available at a lowly price.
It is yet to be known whether Lavezzi would link up with a club that offers limited playing time.
