Jose Mourinho hints at quiet January

20 November 2015 - 13:51

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has suggested that he is not desperate for signings in the winter transfer window.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • It had been recently suggested that the Blues may go on a spending spree in January in a desperate attempt to save their season.

However, Mourinho has revealed that he does not need fresh faces as his current crop of players are capable of turning things around in the second half of the campaign.

He added that he remains confident of guiding the club to a top four finish come the end of the season.

“I will not ask for any changes, I will not ask the board in January," he said in today's press conference.

“We put ourselves in a great situation together by being champions. We put ourselves together in this situation in the Premier League. We have to be together, again, to put it right.”

Jose Mourinho's side currently linger near the relegation zone following a dismal run that has seen them win just three of their opening 12 league games.
