Serie A high-flyers Inter Milan are confident of securing the services of Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic next summer.
The Serbian international is free to talk to foreign clubs in January with his existing deal due to expire at the end of the season.
Chelsea have had a policy of offering a one-year deal to players above the age of 30, and this is said to have stalled contract talks with the experienced defender.
According to The Star, the Nerazzurri will look to lure the versatile defender to San Siro by offering him a two-year pre-contract in the New Year.
Ivanovic has made over 300 appearances for the Premier League holders.
