Muamba ready for Arsenal

Fabrice Muamba has revealed that he is ready to take on Arsenal as Birmingham travel to the Emirates today. Muamba started his career at Arsenal but believed he was not guaranteed a chance in the first-team.

  • Muamba, 19, joined City in a £4million deal after a successful season on loan at St Andrew's. He admitted: "I could have stayed but I didn't want to. There was no guarantee I was going to play so I chose to go somewhere I would."



    Muamba also spoke fondly of one of his old teammates: "My hero is Patrick Vieira. I was lucky enough to train with him. I try to mix his game and my game together."
