Mezut Ozil wanted back at Real Madrid

13 December 2015 - 05:37

La Liga giants Real Madrid will reportedly step up their efforts to re-sign Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil, should they decide to offload James Rodriguez in the near future.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move
  • Rodriguez joined Real from AS Monaco last year, and had an impressive debut season.

However, his second year has been hampered by injuries, and this has limited his playing time under Rafael Benitez.

It is now known that the Colombian international has had a fall-out with the Real boss and is keen on seeking fresh pastures elsewhere at the earliest opportunity.

According to Spanish source Don Balon, Real will look to lure German star Mezut Ozil back to the club, should they are plan to cash in on Rodriguez.

Ozil has been in scintillating form for the Gunners this campaign, having notched 4 goals and 12 assists in all competitions.
