Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has requested the club's hierarchy to consider the option of re-signing former striker Romelu Lukaku from Everton.
The Belgian international left the Blues for Toffees in a record £28m deal last year.
Lukaku has since then been in top form for the Goodison outfit, and this has raised questions as to why Chelsea let him go in the first place.
According to The Star, Drogba has told the club's decision-makers to take the necessary steps to bring the talented striker back to Stamford Bridge in the New Year.
The 22-year-old has scored 16 goals for Everton in all competitions this season.
