Keane wants clear-out

13 January 2008 - 17:55

Sunderland boss Roy Keane is preparing for a clear-out of several players during the January football transfer window. It is believed that Ross Wallace, David Connolly, Ian Harte, Greg Halford, Graham Kavanagh and Stephen Wright have all been told they can leave The Black Cats.

  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Keane has now announced that the six can leave during the transfer window.

He said: “We’re looking to bring a number of players in during the window that can play a key role this season, and that means we have to manage the squad.

“There are some players that I would consider going out on loan or moving on if it’s right for the player and the club, and I’ve spoken to some of the lads today.

“I had a chat with Ross, Dave, Greg, Kav, Hartey and Wrighty and told them if a club comes in for them this month I would be prepared to have a chat.”
