Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker has joined Liverpool on loan for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old has linked up with the Reds following a temporary move at Southampton, where he had made just eight appearances.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is thought to have come to the decision following the recent injury crisis that had seen the club being left with no senior centre-backs.
"Caulker, who has Premier League experience as well as being capped by England, showed a willingness to commit to the Reds at short notice. " read a statement on the club's official website.
The England international could feature in Wednesday night's Premier League encounter against Arsenal at Anfield.
