Lita staying at Reading

14 January 2008 - 16:32

Leroy Lita's hopes of a move away from Reading have been dashed after boss Steve Coppell insisted that the striker had a future at Reading despite Kevin Doyle taking his spot in the first-team of late. Championship side West Brom and Fulham have both considered an offer for the striker.

  • "Leroy is an important player for us, and a key component in our squad," he told the club's official website.

"He hasn't played as much as he'd like recently, but we are fully aware of his capabilities.

"He is under contract for another 18 months and we are not looking to sell him."
