Manchester United are reported to be close to finalizing a summer move for Benfica youngster Renato Sanches.
It had been earlier speculated that the Red Devils had failed with a £22m bid for the young attacker, who has been in prime form for the Primeira Liga holders.
A report from The Record understands that the Mancunian giants have made a renewed £46m offer for the 18-year-old. It is added that the club will offer a fee of around £30m upfront with the remaining sum set to be settled in add-ons.
Benfica are said to be unwilling to do business unless their English counterparts up their initial sum for the player.
