Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has requested the club's hierarchy to pursue a summer deal for Real Madrid forward Jese Rodriguez.
The 22-year-old has struggled for regular first-team action at the Bernabeu this season, and this has led to claims that he may seek a fresh challenge in the off-season.
Spanish source Fichajes claims that Reds boss Klopp is eager to have the versatile forward at Anfield for the next campaign. It is also known that the club are willing to pay as much as £23m to acquire the player's services.
Jese has made just four league starts for Real this term.
