Liverpool are the latest side to show interest in highly-rated Benfica youngster Renato Sanches. The 18-year-old has been the subject of transfer speculation in recent weeks with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid interested in his services.

According to The Liverpool Echo, the Reds scouts were in attendance as the midfielder provided an assist in his side's 2-1 defeat to Porto.

Sanches, who has made over 20 appearances for the Primeira Liga holders. is said to have a &pound62m release clause in his contract.

League rivals United are believed to have made a formal approach for the young teenager last week.
