Manchester United are expected to offload club-captain Wayne Rooney at the end of the season.
The England international has had an indifferent spell in the Premier League this season, this has led to claims that he could leave Old Trafford in th near future.
According to The Mirror, the Mancunian giants are said to have received a bid of aroumd £27m from Shanghai Shenhua for their experienced striker.
It is added that the club will assess Rooney's showing through the remainder of the campaign before coming to a final conclusion on his future.
Rooney is currently sidelined for six weeks with a knee injury.
