Manchester United are preparing a huge £24m offer for AS Roma's Alessandro Florenzi, according to TMW.
Florenzi, an Italian international with 13 caps, is equally adept at playing right-back or on the right-side of midfield. United have scouted the player in recent weeks and it is believed they would likely deploy Florenzi in defence, should they be able to capture the Giallorossi fan favourite.
Florenzi made his debut for Roma in 2011 after graduating from the club's youth system. He was then loaned to Serie B side Cretone to gain experience during the 2011-12 season. The 25-year-old, now a firm fixture in the Roma first-team, notably scored a 50-yard screamer against FC Barcelona at the Stadio Olimpico in the group stage of this season's Champions League.
