Manchester United could reportedly offer stiff competition to Atletico Madrid in the race to land the services of Chelsea striker Diego Costa. The Spain international joined the Blues from Atleti last season.
Costa played an influential role in his debut campaign for the Blues' last term as he guided them to their first Premier League title in five years.
However, his second season has produced a mixed bag with most of his goals coming after the turn of the year.
Atleti had been confident of securing the signature of their former star this summer, but according to Fichajes, United are also looking into a deal for the 27-year-old.
The Red Devils are said to be willing to pay a British record fee of around £60m to bring the player to Old Trafford next season.
Costa has been tipped to leave the West London giants in the summer due to his poor disciplinary record.
