Arsenal on cusp of Xhaka deal?

Arsenal are reported to be close to wrapping up a summer deal for Borussia Monchengladbach attacker Granit Xhaka. The Swiss international is said to be keen on a Premier League move this summer.

The 23-year-old had been linked with a potential move to the Emirates in January, but Monchengladbach were not keen on losing their top player midway through the league campaign.

German publication Bild now claims that the North London giants look likely to land their top target in the summer after they agreed on a &pound35m fee for his services.

League rivals Manchester United and Liverpool have also been credited with interest for the young midfielder.

Xhaka currently owns the captain's armband at the Bundesliga outfit.
