Arsenal star Mesut Ozil is understood to have held negotiations with Fenerbahce over a future move. The German international has been in stunning form for the Gunners despite their average run in the league this term.
Ozil had been the subject of speculation in recent weeks with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid rumoured to be interested in his services.
However, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was quick to rebuff the gossip by suggesting the player is likely to commit his long-term future to the club.
Turkish source Hurriyet now suggests that the World Cup winner has discussed the possibility of joining boyhood club Fenerbahce, if he is to leave the Gunners in the coming years.
Ozil has two years left on his existing deal at the Emirates.
