Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has agreed terms over a long-term deal ahead of his summer move to Manchester City. The 25-year-old has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks after it emerged that he would leave BVB at the end of the season.
Recent speculation had suggested that the Citizens had placed a £30m bid for Gundogan, who has emerged as one of Europe's finest midfielders.
German outlet Bild now confirms that the Mancunian giants have won the chase for the versatile attacker, and the player himself has agreed on a five-year contract ahead of his proposed switch in the summer.
Italian giants Juventus were also said to be on the player's pursuit, but were reluctant to pay any fee in excess of £25m.
