Ranieri confirms Lapadula interest

Leicester City boss Claudio Ranieri has admitted that his side are in the running to sign in-form Pescara striker Gianluca Lapadula.

The 26-year-old has been in top form for the Serie B outfit this season and this has recently caught the eye of Italian champions Juventus.

However, the Foxes could have a major say on the player's future after Ranieri confirmed their interest in the hard-working marksman.

"I just want some new players who are at the level of my starters, and greater tactical coordination for the team," Ranieri was quoted saying by Gazzetta dello Sport.

"We also look to Italy for the market. Lapadula is very good. We've been following him for a while."

The Premier League holders take on Chelsea in their final outing of the campaign.
