Arsenal are reportedly close to completing a summer deal for Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Granit Xhaka. The Swiss international has been tipped to make a switch to England at the end of the season.
Xhaka, 23, has played an influential role for the Bundesliga outfit, who will be plying their trade in next season's Champions League.
German outlet Rheinische Post says the Gunners are days away from wrapping up a £33.8 deal for Xhaka, who has made his name as a deep-lying playmaker in the German league.
The report adds that the North London giants will announce the transfer agreement before the start of this summer's European championships.
Xhaka is said to have a £22m release clause that does not become activated until the summer of 2017.
