Austrian international David Alaba is open to the prospect of swapping Bayern Munich for Barcelona provided he is offered a role in midfield.
The 23-year-old has been a key performer for the Bavarian giants, who won their fourth consecutive league title this season.
According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Barca had made contact with Alaba's representatives over a potential switch to Camp Nou.
It is added that the player is open to linking up with the Champions League holders only if he earns a regular role in the heart of the midfield.
Alaba has often played at left-back for Bayern Munich due to the club's lack of depth in the defence line.
