David de Gea talks about his Man Utd future

03 June 2016 - 12:45

Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea has iterated his desire to stay at Manchester United and win 'more titles' under new boss Jose Mourinho.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The 25-year-old was on the verge of completing his dream move to Real Madrid last summer before delayed submission of paperwork spoiled the deal altogether.

Since then, he has shown his commitment to the Red Devils by penning a four-year contract, but speculation over his future still remains the major talking point.

While asked on his future plans, the Spaniard revealed his ambition of winning more titles under the Special One following the Cup success during previous campaign.

"Talk about Jose Mourinho and you're talking about a winner," he was quoted as saying by Marca."Winning is United's, Jose's and my philosophy. We can make a great team and I welcome him.

"I've got three more years on my contract with United and the desire to win more titles here. When it comes to United, if you don't win everything, it's not good enough. This FA Cup is important for the club, it's important for the fans, and it's an important step towards winning major titles again."

De Gea has notched 224 appearances for the Red Devils since his switch from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
