Everton will make a formal approach for West Bromwich Albion striker Saido Berahino once Ronald Koeman takes over the managerial reigns. The 22-year-old came close to joining Tottenham Hotspur last summer, before the Baggies' hierarchy pulled the plug on the deal.
The Burundian-born footballer is entering the final 12 months of his contract, and signs are he could be offloaded in the upcoming transfer window.
A report from The Mirror says Koeman is a huge admirer of Berahino's talents, and will look to pursue the youngster as his first signing at Goodison Park.
A formal announcement over the Dutchman's appointment is likely to be made later today.
Berahino netted seven goals in 32 outings for the Baggies last term.
