Everton are believed to have joined the race for Middlesbrough and England international winger Steven Downing. Downing has been linked with a move to Tottenham.
It now appears though that Downing has captured the interest of David Moyes, who is a long-term admirer of the winger.
Everton could be set to match Middlesbrough's £10 million asking price as the Toffees look to add to their already improving squad.
Tottenham boss Juande Ramos is already known to be an admirer of Downing, but uncertain whether the £10 million asking price represents good value for the youngster.
