Manchester United have joined Chelsea in the chase to sign Juventus and Italy centre-back Leonardo Bonucci. The Red Devils have already recruited Eric Bailly from Villareal this summer.
According to The Star, Mourinho is keen on adding an experienced head to his backline and has identified Bonucci as the perfect fit for the role.
United would still have to face competition from Chelsea, whose manager Antonio Conte has a good relationship with Bonucci in the Italian setup.
Arch-rivals Manchester City are also believed to be in the running to sign the 29-year-old.
Bonucci, who is featuring for the Azzurri at the European championships, has previously expressed his desire to remain at the Turin giants.
