Juan Roman Riquelme has been informed that he may have to stay in Villarreal next season after negotations with Boca Juniors stalled over a permanent move for the Argentinian midfielder.
Villarreal demanded 4m EUR, Rodrigo Palacio and rights to another player in swap for Riquelme's services which was rejected immediately by Boca Juniors. Where Riquelme's future lies is now up in the air, but Man City are watching the situation closely.
