Everton are ready to rival Sunderland in the race to sign Rubin Kazan midfielder Yann M'Vila. The Frenchman impressed in his six-month loan spell at Wearside last term.

  • Juventus and Napoli enter race for Chelsea winger
  • Felix Nmecha linked with Chelsea move
  • M'Vila joined the Black Cats on a temporary basis in January, and played a key role in their quest to beat the Premier League drop.

Foot Mercato says the Toffees will offer stiff competition to the Black Cats for midfield enforcer after Rubin decided to cash in on their asset this summer.

Ronald Koeman's side are desperate to strengthen their midfield options in the transfer window having released the likes of Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar last month.

Rubin will demand a fee of around £6m for the 26-year-old, who is in the final year of his contract.
