Traoui piledriver saves Tunisia

Traoui piledriver saves Tunisia

23 January 2008 - 21:23

Mejdi Traoui 83rd minute strike gave Tunisia an undeserved point against Senegal, as the two teams drew 2-2.

  • Chelsea have held talks for Ayyoub Bouaddi
  • Chelsea want Newcastle star to replace Cucurella?
  • Tunisia took the lead with one of their few first-half chances as Issam Jooma scored from an acute angle.

However, Senegal struck back when Moustapha Sall punished an error by Rahdi Jaidi to equalise on the stroke of half-time and Diomansy Kamara's close-range effort put Senegal ahead.

Then with seven minutes to go Mejdi Traoui struck a sweet shot from outside the area to equalise for Tunisia.

Senegal played far more postively than Tunisia and will count themselves unlucky to not have won the game.
