Mourinho - Marcus Rashford to start against Feyenoord

Jose Mourinho has hinted that Marcus Rashford will make his first start of the season when Manchester United take on Feyenoord in the Europa League.

  • The 18-year-old, who emerged out of the blue last season, has yet to earn 90 minutes of football under the Special One.

    Rashford, who scored a hat-trick on his debut with the England Under-21s last week, was a half-time substitute in the 2-1 derby loss to Manchester City, but are signs he could feature from the start when they visit Rotterdam on Thursday night.

    "For me the next big game is against Feyenoord and the next game [Rashford] is going to play - that is the only thing I can say," Mourinho told reporters. 

    The teenager has had a year to remember having scored in his debut in the Europa League and Premier League, a similar feat which he has achieved with his national side.

    He has netted nine goals in 21 outings for Manchester United in all competitions.
