Japanese international Shinji Kagawa has been linked with a surprise return to England and move to Tottenham Hotspur. The White Hart Lane side want to add creative midfielders to their squad in January having sold Nacer Chadli.
Spurs have been in contact with many top European football agents regarding a January transfer move for a midfielder but are most interested in former Manchester United man Kagawa and will pay Borussia Dortmund as much as £20 million to secure a deal.
Kagawa initially struggled in his time in England but is ready to return to the Premier League for the right opportunity. Spurs are the only undefeated team in England's top flight.
