Roma are prepared to lodge a winter bid for Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri. The 24-year-old joined the Potters from Inter Milan at the start of the previous campaign.
The Swiss international has struggled to live up to expectations in the Premier League till date, and with the Potters in a poor league run, he could well be tempted to seek a fresh challenge.
According to Calciomercato, the Giallorossi have identified Shaqiri as the ideal player to bolster their squad midway through the Serie A season.
Shaqiri has prior Serie A experience with Inter Milan for whom he plyed his trade for six months before linking up with Mark Hughes' side last term.
The attacker has netted four goals in 35 outings for Stoke City, who are currently placed second-bottom in the league.
