  • The transfer ends an 18-month stay at the JJB Stadium for the Holland international, who cost the Latics £2.3million from AZ Alkmaar in the summer of 2006.

Assistant manager Eric Black confirmed: "This will maybe come as a surprise to people. But it was an offer that was very interesting for him, and the gaffer has agreed to let him go."

Landzaat made 54 appearances for Wigan, including 48 starts in the Premier League, scoring five goals, including three this season.

After returning to Holland on Thursday for talks, it is expected the 31-year-old will sign a three-and-a-half-year contract.
