Chelsea are apparently weighing up a move for Tottenham Hotspur target Milan Baldelj. The Croatian international currently plys his trade for Italian side Fiorentina.
The 27-year-old has amassed 11 appearances for the Serie A outfit, who are currently placed seventh in the league standings.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Baldelj could be sold out by Viola in the New Year with the player reluctant to pen terms over a fresh contract.
Spurs have previously expressed interest in the anchorman, but they will now face competition from the Blues, who are also on the search for a midfield recruit.
Baldelj, who has less than two years left on his present deal, is currently valued in the £9m range.
Italian giants AS Roma and AC Milan have also been credited with interest for the former Dinamo Zagreb graduate.
