Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has admitted that he is hopeful of keeping hold of Alexis Sanchez for the long-term in order for his side to be successful.
The Chilean has been in fine form during the ongoing campaign netting 10 goals and assisting a further five in all competitions.
Recent speculation has suggested that the 27-year-old could be tempted to pursue a challenge in the Chinese Super League, if he finds no outcome to his contract situation.
However, Wenger feels the club still have a lot of time to resolve the player's future, but admits Sanchez is key to the club's chances of prolonged success.
Sanchez is expected to be offered a two-week winter break during the festive period, but it is yet to be known whether he would take rest, given his desire to be on the pitch for nearly every game.
