German side Bayer Leverkusen are set to step up their interest in Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo in the winter transfer window. The Argentine has recently returned to the first-team fold following injuries to Chris Smalling and Eric Bailly.
According to The Mail, the Bundesliga outfit are weighing up a winter offer for Rojo, who is expected to be back on the bench once the club is at full strength.
The 26-year-old has had his fair share of injuries since his arrival to Old Trafford in 2014, and it is believed that Leverkusen will seek to lure him to the Bundesliga at the turn of the year.
Leverkusen have previously done business with the Red Devils for Javier Hernandez. and this will put them in pole position, should Rojo decide to leave Manchester United in January.
