Berahino on the move?

Roma, Inter join Berahino chase

06 December 2016 - 06:07

Italian giants AS Roma and Inter Milan have reportedly joined Stoke City in the race to sign Saido Berahino in the January transfer window. The 23-year-old has just six months left on his existing deal at West Bromwich Albion.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • The former England under-21 international has not featured for the Baggies since mid-September, and his future is uncertain with his contract due to expire at the end of the campaign.

Recent speculation suggested that the Baggies could offload their striker in the January transfer window, and according to the Birmingham Mail, they will have plenty of offers in hand with Roma and Inter Milan both keen on the player's signature.

Berahino, who is valued at around £12m, has been working out to regain his fitness in the South of France, and a move away from the Hawthorns could be beneficial for both the club and the player.

League rivals Stoke City are also in contention to land the Burundian-born footballer, but the lure of European football with AS Roma could be something hard to ignore for Berahino.
