Chelsea have dismissed reports that John Terry could leave the club in the January transfer window. The England international is the subject of interest from several Chinese clubs.
Reports earlier claimed that the 36-year-old could end his association with the Blues in the New Year with Shanghai SIPG, Shanghai Shenhua, and Guangzhou Evergrande all in the running for his signature.
However, in a press conference prior to the Sunderland game, Blues head of communications Steve Atkins insisted that the veteran's future is still undecided, and the club will resolve his situation in the tail-end of the season.
"That discussion has not taken place between John and the club. It's something that will be discussed later in the season, not for now," he told reporters.
Terry has not started a Premier League game for Chelsea since sustaining an injury in the 2-2 against Swansea City in early September.
