CSKA want Jo to stay

28 January 2008 - 19:35

Brazilian striker Jo could be set to leave CSKA Moscow despite the club insisting the player will be going nowhere. Man City and Valencia have already been linked with a move for the hitman, valued at around £11 million.

  • "At this moment we do not have any proposals for Jo," CSKA president Yevgeny Giner told Sport.

"With Valencia we did not agree a price and so he remains in our team. He said he wants to remain in our team and succeed this season.

"As a footballer he is pleased to know about the interest from leading European clubs and in the future he would be happy to play in Italy or Spain. But now he needs to think about CSKA."
